Junior Bake Off episode 1 2023: Harry Hill and judges Liam Charles and Ravneet Gill present the first of this year's heat. Eight contestants put their sponge-baking and jam-making skills to the test. The hallowed Bake Off tent is once again open to a new batch of ridiculously talented young bakers who put many grown-ups’ culinary skills to shame. Out of thousands of applicants, 16 top junior bakers now have the chance of being crowned the winner of Junior Bake Off 2023 — assuming, that is, they can impress judges Liam Charles and Ravneet Gill and not suffer any kitchen mishaps.
In the first heat of eight bakers, their sponge-baking and jam-making skills are put to the test in the technical challenge, before imaginations are allowed to run wild in the showstopper as the contestants illustrate what they would do if they were PM — a creative endeavour that host Harry Hill would no doubt relish.
