1.Start hardening off tender plants
It’s really important to harden off plants that have been raised indoors, including those bought from a garden centre. A coldframe is ideal for this, but if you don’t have one, a sheltered corner will do. For the first week, leave your plants out during the day and bring them in at night. For the second, you can leave them out the whole time. By then, your plants will have acclimatised to life outdoors and can be moved to their final position.
